One of our friends invited us to her parents cattle ranch in Castledale UT this weekend for some much needed R&R. All day Saturday we participated in the branding, casteration, dehorning, and shots of these smelly animals. That was a lot of work and a lot of fun. Castledale is in the high deserts of central UT with a population of about 2000 people and an elevation of 5686 ft. The small town feel and desert climate reminded Rachael and I a lot of Black Canyon City, AZ. For more info visit http://www.johansenherefords.com/.
